LOCAL OBSTACLE RACE WILL BENEFIT THE LONE SURVIVOR FOUNDATION

BEAUMONT, TX – (June 30, 2014) – MOJO Challenge announced today that it will partner with the Lone Survivor Foundation for its inaugural event on September 20, 2014 at Ford Park. The Lone Survivor Foundation is a non-profit organization that restores, empowers, and renews hope for wounded service members and their families. The announcement came in the days following a fundraiser organized by MOJO Challenge for Demi Demas, a local 22 year old woman currently undergoing treatment for Desmoid Sarcoma.

MOJO Challenge will give a set donation to the non-profit organization. The obstacle race will also encourage participants to get involved by offering incentives for top fundraisers.

The incentives are listed below:

Raise $100 – Receive a copy of the Lone Survivor book or a Lone Survivor Foundation T-shirt

Raise $250 – Receive book or T-shirt, PLUS a DVD copy of the Lone Survivor movie starring Mark Wahlberg

Raise $500 – Receive book or T-shirt, DVD, PLUS a free registration to any future MOJO Challenge event.

The top individual fundraiser receives:

  • Their Lone Survivor book signed by author Marcus Luttrell

  • PA announcement at event

About MOJO Challenge:

More Obstacles, Just Obstacles! – MOJO Challenge is a 1-2 mile “pure” obstacle race with no mud or distance running, and can most readily be described as “American Ninja Warrior for the average athlete.” The event will contain 20-25 demanding obstacles and will offer cash prizes for top finishers in the Free-For-All Heat. One of the event’s founders, Cody Eldridge, says “MOJO is more than just a descriptive acronym for our company: It’s a way of life. Having MOJO means having the audaciousness and energy to pursue life’s most challenging goals, regardless of the ‘obstacles’ that stand in the way.”

The inaugural event will take place at Ford Park in Beaumont, Texas on September 20th. Registration starts at just $45.

About the Lone Survivor Foundation:

The Lone Survivor Foundation is a Federal 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 2010 by Navy SEAL (Ret.) Marcus Luttrell.
