Jennifer Street, our Houston Based Team Leader, has been in the social service field since 2001 and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. A graduate of both East Tennessee State University and Florida State University, Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work. Jennifer began her career working with families in crisis and later worked in the areas of at-risk adolescent treatment and domestic violence before beginning Life Renewal Counseling, a private outpatient counseling practice, in 2009.
In that same year, Jennifer completed certification as a trauma professional and began serving on a research team studying the effectiveness of Accelerated Resolution Therapy for Post Traumatic Stress in military members. As an educator, Jennifer has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels of several universities including the University of South Florida and Saint Leo University. Jennifer is a certified trauma professional and is also certified to provide Accelerated Resolution Therapy, an eye movement treatment for faster resolution of psychological distress resulting from trauma.
Jennifer and her husband stay busy raising the son and their two therapy dogs, Chaz and Obie. They enjoy playing and writing music together as well as performing. Jennifer is an avid hiker with a life goal of section-hiking the entire Appalachian Trail. She loves her work with Lone Survivor Foundation and believes it is a great honor and privilege to serve our current and former service members and their families.
