Hear from our Veterans
“I personally loved everything about this opportunity. By far the best program I have ever been a part of and the most beneficial.”
“Really was reassured that I am not the only individual dealing with these issues, and I do have fellow brothers out there that struggle as well.”
“I felt that there were good people that led the program and they put my fears at ease. A counselor I worked with during the program, put me in contact with someone local to help me sign up for military benefits. I am continuing to use the yoga that we did during the program. I was in contact with a few of the veterans right after the program too.”
“I found the program very helpful. I liked the Art Therapy and Yoga during the program and still use those at home now. I also stay in touch with a group of the lady veterans from the program. We connect via messenger and provide support and sometimes send each other little gifts. This has helped me build self-confidence and not feel so isolated.”
“I am so Thankful to Lone Survivor for doing this especially during Covid. I felt so isolated and alone and this really helped me feel more connected. I really liked the ART Therapy and the 2 counselors at the program were great! The field instruction was really good. I enjoyed connecting with other women veterans and we continue to communication virtually now. I had an Alpha Stem earlier but really learned how to use it at the program. It has really helped me. My depression and PTSD are in remission since the program. I am going back to work in July and feel good.”
“I think the LSF program is excellent. I was introduced to unique tools to use such as the Alpha Stim. I really liked the counseling I received while at the program. I still use the Inner Balance heart meter that I learned about. I enjoyed meeting other Veterans and I am able to stay in touch with a couple of them through Facebook and texting.”
“The program was a good experience. I got a lot out of the ART and calming techniques. I thought the Yoga for pain management was wonderful too. I have noticed I am bothered less about my trauma now.”
“The program has really helped me control my anxiety and anger. My Father-in-Law and Wife immediately noticed the changes right after the program. Spending time with peers and also the staff and being able to share with people who really understand my experience helped reduce my anger and anxiety. EMDR was wonderful and helped a lot. I am doing follow-ups with my local VA. I am better at controlling my anger and feel that the Breathing-techniques, and Inner Balance phone app and blue tooth device contributed to this.”
“The program was a big help. I use meditation and breathing exercises I learned during the program to help alleviate stress.”
“I think this is one of the best Veteran’s programs I’ve attended! I really liked the Veterans Yoga and Heart Math inner balance. I use these in my weekly routine now at home and they are so helpful.”
“The program is good, and I am recommending to everyone I can. I got an alpha-stim and am using that. I also am still using some limited Yoga from the program due to my mobility issues. I like that the program is Veteran run and that I saw immediate results from the therapies. I felt the most effective therapy is ACT. I am still feeling better from doing this at the program.”
“The program was better than I expected. My wife could see a positive change in me after the program. I liked Yoga, Meditation, EMDR, ACT, and Equine therapies. I continue to use these now through my therapist. I enjoyed the education part of the program too. I learned about PTSD and Complex PTSD. I enjoyed time with other peer Veterans and the reinforcement that I am not alone in my feelings.”
